Dear Dr. Lampert, just a small note of appreciation. I have had trouble with double vision for at least 25 years, and needed glasses that had prisms present. After some time, the prisms no longer helped and It was suggested that I have strabismus surgery to improve this. There was some definite improvement but I still had trouble with coordination of my eyes. I was told that “you have to live with it”. It was suggested by a friend that I see you. With the exercises that you gave me and the corrective measures that were given I have improved at least 75 to 80% at this time. And I believe that this will only improve . What amazed me, is that I saw improvement within three weeks of using your program. As a medical person I had trouble believing that no one would refer me to you at a sooner date. The link between learning-related visual skills and juvenile delinquency has been explored in article after article by the American Optometric Association and the Optometric Extension Program since the sixties. In 2000, Stan Kaseno, OD., reported on the results of the San Bernadino Juvenile Hall Vision Clinic after it had been involved in providing vision care and vision therapy to juvenile delinquents for twelve years.* 93% of the juvenile deliquents initially were unable to pass a developmental test of their visual skills. The average recidivism rate for these offenders is 70% but the ones who received 24 sessions of vision therapy had a recidivism rate of just 15%. The youth also made measurable gains in their reading levels and IQ scores. In addition, they began to set goals for their lives. I have to tell you that you have made a huge difference in my life regarding my vision. I came to visit you on a recommendation from a friend of mine after I had suffered from a brain seizure that left my vision somewhat double and headaches that would not stop and a constant complaint of my eyes hurting. I had gone to different eye doctors including an optomologist and even a retina doctor who could find nothing wrong with me. At your office you examined my eyes and gave me a test that no other doctor had given me and that was a focusing test’ Your ability to see that I was having a problem focusing with both of my eyes due to the fact that the muscles had weakened was amazing to me and I felt you totally understood what I had been going through and you explained to me how this came to be and more importantly how to correct it. I was very happy to hear your explanation and the fact that all I had to do was to exercise my eyes with this new program that you had invented. I went home with my new program information and 3-D glasses and worked on my eyes with your remarkably simple but effective program and after a few weeks of working on my vision it improved tremendously. The headaches went away and the hurting I felt in my eyes went away too. lt has been well over 6 months and I am happy to say that I no longer have problems with my vision. There are times that when I am tired I fir:d that my left eye gets tired easily but other than that the improvement is remarkable. I am looking forward to you testing my eyes once again to see how much improvement I have in my focusing.
I recommend your services and your program to anyone who is experiencing any type of muscle weakness in their eyes. I think that you have really come up with something other eye doctors could learn from and a way of thinking about both eyes working in harmony that other eye doctors don’t always put together.
